Does the entire health care reform debate strike anyone else as being largely irrelevant and beside the point?

Only Satan does not need health care but for us mortals we tend to get sick sometimes and it would be nice to have quality health care without leaving me bankrupt or dead. I guess Republicans are immune to sickness. But not stupidity.
