Resume for PhD dropout?

If you have a master's, mention that. You can p yourself off as an A.B.D. (All But Dissertation) if you've completed the course work. There are lots of reasons for dropping out of a doctoral program and you can frame your reason to satisfy most people. I wouldn't do this on the resume though. Decide whether you will ever complete your doctoral work. Depending on the answer, you might want to say that you stopped for financial reasons or because your goals changed. Generally, the less said on your resume, the better. Just be ready to answer the inevitable question.
