I'm agnostic and no, you didnt sound stupid. I'm just mystified when you said by suicide, you could be with loved ones when you say that death is only blank and emptiness. If you are now in Hong Kong, you should be closer to Buddhist and Taoist traditions, try to study their religions just for academic purposes.
